Other tests performed • Intermingling 21 million inserts with 10 million deletes took just over 2 minutes. Again about 4 ms per insert. • Increasing the number of points in a (leaf) pot in the range 2-10 makes it a bit slower and uses a bit less memory. • The 1 Mb cache seemed enough to hold the upper levels of the tree.
