Indexing and accessing points on the Earth's Surface
Performance • I did the time testing using a modern but cheap new desktop. About 3 GHz. • From a database with 40000 points in it • Insert and delete are about 4 ms • Search by distance, finding an average of 3 points, takes about 4 ms. • Search by count for the nearest two points takes about 6 ms.
