Distances to fixed points • To do this we take a set of 8 particular points F1, F2 . . . F8 on the earth, and for each indexed point (and thence for each pot) compute the maximum distance to each Fi. • Then if that maximum is Mi but our target is distance Di > Mi + R, all points in that pot are at a distance greater than R [where R is the radius of interest].
